Thank you!

Now that the long campaign is over and we were successful in getting our message out to the voters of Eagle, I would be remiss if I failed to acknowledge all the volunteers who made this campaign a success. Without all the people who unselfishly gave their time walking neighborhoods, writing letters of support and working tirelessly to let the Eagle electorate know the difference between the candidates so they could make an informed decision, I would be writing a very different letter. We often forget to express those simple words that let people know how much we appreciate what they do for us. So, thank you for all of your help. I couldn’t have done it without you, and I intend to spend my mayoral term continually striving to be worthy of the trust you have placed in me. And to the voters of Eagle….thank you also for giving me the chance to serve you. I promise you I will do my best to justify the confidence you’ve placed in me by giving me your vote. My goal is to make Eagle the most livable city in Idaho, a place to proudly call home.” – STAN RIDGEWAY, EAGLE MAYOR-ELECT

“Conservative is not just about how much you spend, but how wisely you spend.”

Stan Ridgeway for Eagle City Mayor

       Fiscal Responsibility…

              Respectful Communication…

                    Involved Approach to Budgeting

As Mayor, Stan Ridgeway will provide Eagle with thoughtful leadership and logical management. He’ll provide Eagle taxpayers with a conservative voice in spending their money.

Eagle city government has periodically had a reputation for a fractious temperament among its elected leaders.  Our city leaders need to base their decisions on long-term planning and rational thought rather than emotion. Eagle deserves a mayor who utilizes strong decision-making.  Otherwise, taxpayers absorb unnecessary cost and the city can end up in unfortunate legal entanglements. Eagle City Council President Ridgeway was first elected to the council two years ago.  He says he was drawn to serve Eagle by a need for transparency and respectful communication between the mayor, council and constituents. Before he was elected to the council, he attended numerous meetings where Eagle residents and other constituents were interrupted and berated while giving testimony. Ridgeway believes it’s the mayor’s job to make sure that doesn’t happen.  The mayor must assure all parties when they come before their elected representatives they will be welcomed and treated both respectfully and professionally. That’s why Stan has decided to run for Eagle City Mayor on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015.

Strong, Sensible, Thoughtful Leadership

The city of Eagle needs a mayor who has demonstrated the ability to provide thoughtful leadership based on long-term planning and rational thought. That person is Stan Ridgeway.

Transparency That Encourages respect and Public Input

Stan Ridgeway, who has served two years on the Eagle City Council, was drawn to public service by what he saw as a need for openness and accountability to the Eagle taxpayers. “Government business should be conducted with professional etiquette and in accordance with the law.”

Fiscally Conservative

Stan Ridgeway believes leaders should be more conservative in how they spend taxpayer dollars. “I think Eagle has made some poor choices that seem to benefit special interests while Eagle taxpayers foot the bill.”

Strong Belief in Private Property Rights

Stan Ridgeway believes city leaders should support rather than hamper property owners in their quest to utilize their property. “The city has spent far too much time and thousands in taxpayer money on questionable legal disputes.”

Wise Spending…Approach Budgeting Differently

Stan Ridgeway supports a conservative, involved approach to budgeting. “The current model is neither efficient nor cost-effective. We need more input from staff, the council and the public before adopting a budget.”
